'My paintings concentrate on places that I know well and generally see (or have seen) in my daily routine.  Whilst I start by painting what I see I'm not preoccupied by photographic accuracy - more delivering evocative colours and a sense of place.  I love paint and hope that my pictures convey a sense of pleasure in it as a medium.'
