Claire’s current work seeks to explore relationships between body and mind, material and process, and inside and outside.

The repetitive and ritualistic process of throwing enhances her awareness during the making process, heightening the intimate connection between material and maker.

The vessel serves as an object of containment, that of holding a space creating associations with the state of clarity and an empty vessel. This represents an exploration of the commonality and parallels between ceramics and yoga which is of particular interest to her.
